Codes of Conduct

club-management-header

It is the responsibility of everybody involved in your club to ensure it remains a safe place, free from discrimination, fear and where possible, risk. Establishing Codes of Conduct is a way of achieving this.

An important component of maintaining a quality club culture is to set standards of acceptable behaviour which must be upheld by all involved and those participating in club run activities and competitions.

An important tool for defining and communicating acceptable standards of behaviour is a documented, Code of Conduct. Ideally the Code of Conduct must apply to all involved in your club and its activities. Different groups of people covered by a Code of Conduct should include:

  • Adult members
  • Junior Members
  • Club Officials and volunteers
  • Parents and Carers
The templates below will help you to develop or review your Code of Conduct but remember that these should be tailored to your club's specific needs. Your National Governing Body may also publish a Code of Conduct specific for your sport. We are currently in the process of refreshing our downloadable templates. New versions will be available soon.
