We have a series of free bite-size virtual training opportunities available.
To access any training opportunity, delegates must:
· Be a minimum of at least 16 years of age
· Be able to communicate effectively in English
· Represent a club or organisation based in England
· Have access to a laptop/tablet for virtual sessions. A smartphone is accepted but functionality may be limited
· Have access to an environment with limited distractions, conductive to learning
Training Opportunity 1: Financial Planning Webinar (1 hour)
This one hour webinar will consider strategic financial planning for organisational development. It is an information giving session with only a small amount of interaction with the delegates
By the end of this session, delegates will be able to:
· Identify the factors that make an organisation financially sustainable
· identify the principles of financial planning to support sustainability
· Identify the financial obligations that come with running an organisation.
This session is suitable for the following:
· Volunteers/paid staff that are part of a club/organisation committee
· Other people invested in running their organisations effectively.
Training Opportunity 2: Financial Management Share and Learn Community of Practice
This session is for budget holders and those within the organisation who have a responsibility to ensure income is more than expenditure. It is an interactive session (1 hour, 15 minutes) with delegates participating in discussion and considering organisational scenarios.
By the end of this session, delegates will be able to:
· Identify the principles of good financial management to aid financial sustainability
· Identify key tools to support the process of financial management
This session is suitable for the following:
· Volunteers/paid staff who are budget holders
· Volunteers/paid staff that are part of a club/organisation committee
· Other people invested in running their organisations effectively.
Training Opportunity 3: Raising Money to Sustain Your Organisation Webinar
This one-hour webinar will identify ways to access funding and raise money. It is an information giving session with only a small amount of interaction with the delegates.
By the end of this session, delegates will be able to:
· Have an overview of different ways to raise money
· Work through the ‘dos and don'ts’ of grant funding
· Identify where to look for grant funding
This session is suitable for the following:
· Volunteers that take on fundraising roles
· Volunteers/paid staff that are part of a club/organisation committee
· Other people invested in running their organisations effectively
Training Opportunity 4: Financial Sustainability workshop
This 2 hour workshop combines snippets from all three training opportunities into one session. It provides guidance on financial planning, management and also the different income models for organisations. This session is suitable to volunteers/paid staff that have responsibility for finance and who are invested in running their organisations effectively.
