How to organise a workshop
Our suite of Club Matters workshops aim to support individuals connected with clubs, community groups and organisations delivering sport and physical activity. There are 10 workshop topics to choose from and each workshop lasts for two hours. Workshops can be delivered through a virtual classroom or in a face-to-face format, with a course tutor.
Club Matters workshops are funded by Sport England and therefore there is no cost. All we ask is that workshop organisers guarantee to meet the minimum number of delegates required to run the workshop.
“The tutor is great at making the subject very relevant for our community. The interactive nature of the workshops work really well. The content is challenging and stimulating”
“Workshop and tutor were excellent, content very relevant. Preworkshop communication from the club matters team was excellent”
How does it work?
Our workshop request form can be accessed here: https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/CMWorkshopRequestForm
Please read the terms and conditions prior to submitting your workshop request. These can be found via the workshop request form.
- Communicate with you in advance of the workshop to confirm workshop logistics
- Provide an approved Club Matters tutor
- Provide delegates with a workshop resource.
- Provide you with promotional materials and communications to advertise the workshop
- Provide follow up communications post workshop, with links to further Club Matters support.
On receipt on your workshop request form, we will communicate with you. We will also;
We will put you in contact with your workshop tutor so they can introduce themselves and gain some background prior to delivering the workshop.
We will work with you to ensure delegates have the necessary information. If you decide to organise a face to face workshop, please ensure materials are printed and ready for the start of the workshop.
Once your workshop has taken place, we will send a follow up email to all attendees; this will include links to further Club Matters support to help your clubs to continue developing.
Thousands of volunteers have already benefitted from attending these sessions and we are looking forward to working with your local clubs, community groups and organisations. We have received great feedback from participants and organisers alike and look forward to delivering successful workshops with you now and in the future.
