Club Matters is pleased to share that Sport England have teamed up with several other organisations to create a guide that will help you implement good hygiene across your club simply and effectively, no matter the activity, sport or venue.
When taking part in physical activity, whether as a player, coach, spectator, employee or volunteer, it is important to take sensible measures to maintain good hygiene.
Good hygiene practice, by clubs and members, helps ensure that everybody involved stays fit and well enough to keep up the activities they love and get the most enjoyment out of taking part. Likewise, good hygiene is of equal importance for everybody involved in maintaining and working on courts, pitches and sports facilities.
Sport England have created a guide to help you implement good hygiene across your club simply and effectively, no matter the activity, sport or venue. The guidance and advice in this document has been developed in conjunction with Public Health England, the National Centre for Sport & Exercise Medicine in Sheffield, and The Centre for Sport and Exercise Science at Sheffield Hallam University.
In the link below you will find free advice, guidance and materials for promoting good hygiene messages to club members. Materials include animations and designs perfect for posting on your website and social channels and larger posters, which can be printed off and put up around your club.
Please also share the hygiene guidance and messages with any stakeholders in your wider network (e.g. other local clubs, schools, venues you hire).
We want to see the amazing work you are doing, so please do share how you have used the materials by tweeting us @ClubMatters using the hashtag #StayHealthyKeepActive or send us an email on firstname.lastname@example.org for your chance to be featured by Sport England
